About

cropped-imgp3953.jpgHi Friends

I’ve been writing songs for fifty (something) years. I finally realized the one thing they all had in common was a story. One day while sitting at my computer to write a song, I instead started writing a book based on the stories from my songs. Now that was fun. I enjoy writing books now more than songs. I still do both though.

I went to high school and college in Evansville, Indiana. I spent 18 months in the Philippines and 1 year in Viet Nam as a helicopter crew chief. Returning to Evansville I worked for Bristol Myers. I also owned a contracting business where I built custom houses.

I retired in 2005, so now I can enjoy my time writing Songs and Books. I also spend time playing guitar and working on my 1954 Chevy truck (Bloodshot). You have to name your truck.

I look forward to blogging with everyone and getting your ideas and sharing mine.  Leave a comment!

  1. Sounds like you’re doing some great stuff. Although I’m an author who writes books and not songs, I love music. You’re so right that songs tell a story. How wonderful to be talented in both writing and music. Thanks for visiting my blog. I look forward to following yours!

  2. Hi Mac,

    I hope you are well!

I bought your first book and the prequel in large print for my mom. She will be 92 at the end of July! She has enjoyed both books. I would like to get her the rest of the series, but she needs them to be in large print. Do you know if any of your other books are or will be in large print?

    Please advise.

    Thank you,
    Jodi

    1. Hi Jodi
All of the books in that series are in large print. Amazon just makes them hard to find. If you get on the desktop site on Amazon and click on -see all formats- a pop-up will appear. It should give you the option to click on Large Print.
Let me know if it doesn’t work.
      Thanks, Mac
